No Woman, No Cry

 

This week I had the pleasure of helping the Young Professionals for CARE with an intimate private screening of Christy Turlington Burns' award-winning documentary "No Woman, No Cry" and a panel discussion on maternal health at the Norwood Club in Manhattan.

"No Woman, No Cry" told the story of pregnant women and their caregivers in four countries as they struggle to beat the odds. The evening's panelists included Dallas Brennan Rexer, the producer of "No Woman, No Cry"; Doris Bartel, the acting team lead of CARE's Gender and Empowerment unit; and Praveen Prasad, a development specialist at TrustAfrica.
